Let the Games begin! Mike Tirico and Katie Couric host coverage of the Opening Ceremony, celebrating the official start of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. This marks the first time a South Korean city has staged a Winter Games; Seoul was the summer Games host in 1988. It will also be the first time the Opening Ceremony has been streamed live.

The action opens with Shaun White and company with halfpipe snowboard qualifying in the early morning along with men’s alpine combined slalom. Attention then turns to Alpensia Nordic Centre for the individual classic sprint where a powerhouse U.S. team will challenge with Jessie Diggins, Sophie Caldwell, Sadie Bjornsen, Ida Sargent, Andy Newell and Simi Hamilton. The evening will see men’s halfpipe snowboard finals, plus Mikaela Shiffrin closing out the day in the women’s slalom.
