A big thank you from all the parents and students in the Phoenix Program goes to the creators of the HoliMont Cookbook sale; Dennis Bell, Peter Sullivan and Marcy Hazard. Now, along with local merchants and newspapers as well as administrative help from Evan Evans, sales continue to grow. Proceeds will go to purchase more adaptive ski equipment to help develop our adaptive students into more avid ski enthusiasts and better prepared competitors for our races. Also, the sale has become so successful, that we are now gaining support from some of the top professionals in the adaptive ski industry who help us procure additional equipment as students progress.
The HoliMont Snowsports Phoenix Program has come a long way in the past 15 plus years. All instructors are trained by PSIA/AASI (Professional Ski Instructors of America/American Association of Snowboard Instructors), and is a well-recognized program in PSIA-Eastern Division. Our success is due to the enthusiasm and willingness of our instructors and volunteers to go that extra mile when working in the program. Donations account for much of our ability to purchase additional adaptive ski equipment to enhance the quality of our lessons. We are very proud to have this close-knit group within the Snowports School and HoliMont Ski Club.
Our future plans include more weekday adult programs, as well as investigating the possibility of a Wounded Warriors Weekday group.
Again, many thanks to the Cookbook sale team for helping our Phoenix Program continue to grow.
